The Boston Globe brought us sad news this morning that Regent Hotels & Resorts is backing out of the massive Battery Wharf project. Since we have neither the interest or the financial means to purchase one of Battery Wharf’s gleaming new multi-million dollar condos, we (along with many other young North Enders) were mostly excited for the new bars and lounges that were to be included with the hotel part of the project, at least one that was to be open until 2AM. Hotel bars are of course notorious for attracting cougars, and we were curious to see if droves of them would swarm down Hanover St. towards the Regent in search of stock traders and real estate magnates. Well, so much for that.
Stay tuned.
