Casey Ross reports some good news in the Globe this morning. The recently beleaguered Battery Wharf project is bringing in Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to manage its hotel. As we wrote about back in June, Regent Hotels backed out of the project over on Commercial St., leaving developers without a marquee hotel named attached to it. Things are once again looking up over at Battery Wharf, as the development now has a high-end hotel chain with the luxury services that prospective condo buyers will be looking for. This will be the hotel chain’s second location in Boston, in addition to the Copley Fairmont.
This makes us even MORE curious as to what the hotel bars be like at Battery Wharf now.
Could a SECOND Oak Bar location possibly be coming to the neighborhood???
Young NeBo’ers wait with baited breath.
